Broken Walls

A series of images produced to sit in book form. The task undertaken was to show the unfortunate failure of maintaining a tradition that can be traced back half a millennia. Dry stone walls are a familiar sight when diving across Britain, but due to costs farmers are choosing cheaper alternatives to replace dry stone walls, often leaving the remains of tumbled down walls like scars across the landscape. Choosing to house the books in a representation of a restored dry stone wall in the hope that the project would bring the issue to viewers attention, and show what the images are unable to convey.
